Bathroom conversion to level shower. Brilliant workmanship by Chris. Showed care and attention to all aspects of the conversion. Very respectful of family and home, including the family dog! Jake, Ben and Robert were also very reliable and helpful. Highly recommend.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Alfa Electric (AVCO Maintenance) were successful in their bid to the council for the transformation of my bathroom into a wet room using a disabled facilities grant in 2016. To date, the shower has burned me twice (still under warranty at the time), 2nd time it was replaced as they finally accepted there was a problem with the thermostat; the floor (10 year warranty) has failed, leaking into the hallway below it - the flaw was eventually sorted but given that it is at a join in the floor, it's questionable how long this will remain leak free. The hallway below was badly damaged, but there was no talk of compensating me for this. I paid to have it re-decorated. The floor pump (which draws the water down to the waste pipe) has now failed twice. The Bluetooth in the pump is connecting to the shower only intermittently (confirmed by Shane from Avco Maintenance on his site visit) so it doesn't work reliably. There is no emergency shut off. So you turn the shower on, and the pump doesn't kick in - you then have to get out of the shower, flood the bathroom and upper hallway, and somehow deal with all the water. Shane failed to write about the issue in his report, despite promising me he would. He reset the pump (which is behind a trap door (which you need a screwdriver to open) inside a recessed cupboard, that you can only access by kneeling on the floor and bending yourself in half (something I cannot physically do) and reported back that the issue is resolved. He was happy to comment on the fact that the floor has been cut badly where the floor pump has been installed, that there was an awful mess in the recess cupboard (left after the installation) and that Chris who installed my wetroom (no longer with AVCO) was awful and they're still clearing up his messes. YET, they've washed their hands of it. Town and Country (who instructed AVCO (who submitted the cheapest quote) have sent me a letter to tell me this (rather than speaking to me). I have to resolve the problems myself. Please DO NOT USE THESE COMPANIES; I have been left with an awful wetroom, not fit for purpose. It has caused me nothing but problems, and I'm now left to sort it all out. My only solution is to have it all redone - something I simply don't have the finances to do.
