Southcliff Dental Practice Shirley Dale

I have visted South Cliff Dental in Dale valley road a couple of times now with wife. The first time was okay, I thought the building was tired and needed work but besides that they seemed okay. I had the appointment where needed a filling which was the 2nd filling I had in my life. Being in my 40s not to bad. One thing I would say I do think they should put protective glasses on especially doing fillings however they don't. The children are booked into a different dentist and the difference is night and day. The dental practice where the children go are on a different level, the facilities are spotless and they use protective glasses. I am not sure why South Cliff dental group should be any different. I booked our next appointment which was not able to make i cancelled well in advance. They called me several times a day as well as my wife and would hound constantly. They then booked us in with out us knowing, and called us to say we missed an appointment. They tried saying we can't book you in with out consent. I didn't believe it as it is obvious it is a click of a few buttons and click on a certain day. I then said well I cannot do that appointment, however I can come on this day. They booked me in but on the day they were so disappointed that my wife was not coming. I did say it would be just me on the phone. I had an appointment again they didn't use goggles but within 6 months I needed 3 fillings, they didn't do an x-ray this time. I took there word for it but after leaving I just didn't have the confidence in them. I booked an appointment again which I couldn't make, I called them to cancel in advance. They were okay with it. They were pushy to get me in sooner felt the need to book when they wanted me to. I booked in an appointment which was difficult for me to make as I recovering from a heart abaltion but I thought I would change it because they were so pushy. They called they day before I was still recovering from a heart ablation and my wife hurt her back. They said I couldn't cancel it. In the end I just said just struck me off the register. I am disappointed I am all for for a little bit of pushy for business but not to the point of hassling someone. I will go else where, really poor service, will go else where.

I recently visited this dental practice and had a great experience with Soumya and Priyanka. They were both welcoming, greeted me with big smiles, and took the time to explain everything clearly and professionally. Their friendly approach and expertise made me feel comfortable and confident throughout my appointment. The only downside was an interaction with one of the receptionists over the phone. Despite giving more than 24 hours’ notice, the communication was not handled as professionally as I would have expected. Overall, the excellent care and customer service provided by Soumya and Priyanka more than made up for this. They are a real asset to the practice, and I would happily recommend them.

I had a great experience with Shahad, the hygienist. Shahad was compassionate and gentle, and I felt listened to. Shahad went the extra mile by offering to polish off some years-old brace glue on my front teeth. She gave me personalised, useful advice about this and my general tooth and gum care. I really felt looked after throughout the appointment. Thank you Shahad!

I visited the practice today for my first appointment after registering as a new patient, and I had a really positive experience. Simrandeep was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the appointment. She took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and explain everything clearly, which I really appreciated. The reception team were also very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!

Went in for a hygiene with Archana and she was spot on. Friendly, reassuring, and clearly knows her stuff. Felt totally comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend!! Very sad to hear she’s leaving – such a shame. Wishing her all the best for the future, she’ll be missed!
