We have used Lemon and Breeze twice for two different properties, and both times Sebastian was extremely professional, honest and hardworking.
For the first property, the carpets were left in a very poor condition after the previous tenant moved out. There were a large number of dog urine stains, and there was also one room where we suspected something oily or candle wax had been spilt onto the carpet. We had already arranged a full house clean, including the carpets, before contacting Sebastian, but the stains and unpleasant dog smell were still there.
When Sebastian assessed the photos, he was able to identify that the marks were likely urine stains. When he attended the property, he also identified what appeared to be an oily solution spilt on one of the carpets. We were honestly unsure whether it was worth cleaning the carpets at all, but Sebastian kindly tested a few patches first so we could see the difference before deciding. After around an hour and a half of his work, the carpets looked completely refreshed. He also used a solution to help neutralise the unpleasant dog smell, which made a huge difference. Even one month later, the smell had reduced significantly.
For the second property, the carpets had not been professionally cleaned for over 10 years. Unfortunately, the previous management agent had also carried out painting work without putting any carpet protection down, so there were lots of paint marks and stains across the carpets, including the rooms, hallway and stairs. Sebastian explained that many of the marks were very old oil-based paint stains, which had become hard and very difficult to remove. He worked from around 11:30am until nearly 2:50pm and kept trying to clean and improve the carpets as much as possible.
Before the appointment, I had asked one of the tenants two or three times whether he wanted his own room carpet cleaned as well. He said it was not necessary and that the condition of his room carpet was fine. However, when Sebastian was nearly finished and the tenant saw the difference in the areas that had already been cleaned, he changed his mind and asked whether Sebastian could also clean his room. That really shows how noticeable the improvement was.
The difference afterwards was huge. The carpets looked much fresher, cleaner and more presentable, especially considering their original condition. Sebastian did not overpromise, but he genuinely tried his best and clearly took pride in his work. He was definitely not someone who rushed through the job or just did the bare minimum.
Hopefully after the second job, Sebastian has not developed a fear of coffee lattes, because some of the water coming out of the machine looked exactly like one!
We really appreciate his effort and would definitely recommend Lemon and Breeze, especially for difficult carpet cleaning jobs where the carpets need proper deep cleaning rather than just a quick surface clean.
