I have worked in the hairdressing industry for over 12 years. I first started as an apprentice in a salon, where I received lots of hands on training right from the start.
Then after a few years of experience I went and worked on the cruise ships. This is were I realised how much I really enjoyed the styling side of hairdressing; getting clients ready for formal evenings on the ships was a big part of hairdressing. I also was lucky enough to work with international hair stylists from arould the world learning new skills and techniques from them.
After the ships I moved to London. I worked in a salon and got on to the artistic team. This lead me to the more creative and fashion side of hairdressing doing photo shoots and shows. I attended the London academy of freelace make up, where I got to train with top make up artists.
After a few years of the London life I took my skills to New Zealand and travelled for a year.
Now I have returned to do what I enjoy most which is styling hair and make up for people on their special occasion.
