These are the treatments I offer, and the suppliers I have chosen to partner with. It is important to me that the products I use are environmentally friendly and free from cruelty and chemical nasties, but still produce great results. We no longer have to choose between ethical and effective.
MEDIK8 Facials
I have chosen to use products by Medik8, a cosmeceutical company based in the UK. The ‘8’ represents the brand’s eight core values: simple, tailored, clean, professional, free-thinking, artisan, technology and ethical.
The products are made by hand in the UK and all are vegan. They contain active ingredients with technology which penetrates the lowest level of the epidermis (the basal layer) where the cells are made and work their magic.
Setting Medik8 aside from most skincare companies is its technology: bioavailable ingredients, chirally correct molecules, chemical penetration enhancement, therapeutic concentrations, time-release delivery systems, enhanced stability and Ph balance. Medik8 is proud to have been able to patent their best technologies and breakthroughs in skincare.
These facials liberate skincare customers from the choice between results or experience.
Skin Peels
Peels have evolved so much with all the extensive amount of research that has been carried out. Medik8 is at the forefront of this and have just launched their new Peels:
All Medik8’s peels are optimised at pH2.2; its all about balance, low enough for maximum active acid and penetration, no lower is needed, to minimise excess irritation.
The Peels all have Arginine as a main ingredient; it is an amino acid that helps to time release the hydroxy acids down through the skin’s Epidermis to the basal layer. As with all Medik8’s time release products it reduces the chance of irritation.
The Acids work by breaking down the bonds of the corneocytes, increasing cell regeneration, destroying weak/damaged skin cells and producing new healthy skin cells and boosting fibroblast activity. At the same time the skin’s proteins react with the acids in the low pH and coagulation (tightening) occurs.
Medik8 offers various Chemical Peels to help with Anti-aging, Pigmentation and Blemish prone skin.
Massage
Choose from a range of massage treatments such as traditional Swedish body massage, deep tissue, hot stone massage or Indian massage. All massages are bespoke to your needs and a blend of essential oils and Spirt of Hemp CBD oil can be used.
