Happy Building

We have been working with Geo at Happy Building on our ground floor remodel and rear extension and have just completed Design & Planning Stage I. We were very impressed with the two designs drawn up which included elements we hadn't even considered. The team are professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable and have supported us throughout. We highly recommend them and look forward to Pre-Construction: Stage II.

We have just completed the stage 01 (planning stage) phase with Happy Building and are very pleased with their work. The team are extremely friendly and knowledgable and Geo in particular has been very supportive (and patient!) during the process, as we were not really sure what we wanted at the start of the project. Geo has provided us with 2 amazing options and then helped us to incorporate the important features into our final design. The whole process is well defined and clearly explained and consequently we feel supported and well-guided as we embark on what we feel is quite a considerable remodel on our downstairs living space.

We used Happy Building to provide the architectural design for a renovation project that we have recently completed, and we are very happy with the result. The work involved the creation of an open-plan kitchen/dining space with a small extension; the construction of a new downstairs shower room; and the conversion of our garage to include a utility room. After an initial consultation to identify what we wanted to achieve, Geo (the designer) provided two plans. We were then able to combine the elements we wanted from each and worked with him to refine these into a final design. Throughout this process he was very accommodating and provided helpful advice. He also dealt with the application for planning permission, helping to ensure that this was a smooth process. We used our own builder to carry out the works, but the lead-up to this was made easier by the fact that Happy Building provided a project specification and arranged the engineering calculations. We are thrilled with the outcome of the work and are now getting to enjoy living in the new space!

Happy Building London delivered a full rebuild and refurbishment of our home — including air-source heat pump with underfloor heating and extensive bespoke joinery — to a very high standard. Excellent workmanship, a stable site team, weekly written progress updates, and every change priced transparently before any work started. Issues were flagged to us proactively rather than hidden. For a substantial rebuild, we'd recommend them without hesitation.
