Domex Appliance Repairs

The guy who came to fix my microwave oven today through Domestic & General was brilliant. He phoned me to say he was ten minutes away. He fixed my faulty microwave in less than 30 minutes. He was polite and friendly. Five stars.

The engineer who came to fix my washing machine this morning was excellent — polite, helpful, and really professional. He got the job done quickly and everything is working perfectly now. I often find it hard to trust domestic engineers, plumbers, and builders, but I’m genuinely glad I found this company. Their costs are reasonable and clearly explained upfront, which makes the whole experience feel much more trustworthy. Highly recommended.

I’m very happy with the service. It was fast, reliable, traceable, and reasonably priced. The engineer was polite and professional. I also liked the SMS notifications and the MyRepair platform. One important improvement: please stop using bit.ly links in SMS messages. Link shorteners are heavily abused by subscription scams. Even as a fairly savvy IT user, I was almost caught by a “Market Now24” offer that appeared to lead to a £29.90/month subscription. I understand this is not Domex’s fault, but the use of bit.ly makes it harder to trust the message and easier for scams to blend in.

Tried calling thrice (10am-1pm Monday) to get some clarity before scheduling a repair appointment for my oven. Wasn't able to reach anybody or get a callback. I called the Siemens service instead, and spoke to a helpful person immediately. Siemens told me they automatically reserve parts to try to complete a repair on the first visit, whereas Domex appears to schedule a follow-up to come back with parts. I guess I'll be going with Siemens who are around the same price (£119 incl. VAT inside the M25).

Domex offered a great Oven Repair Service for my 12 year old Caple Oven. Initially they ran a diagnostic check, before ordering the part required (was a switch fault). Over two visits, my engineer Diego was very courteous, efficient and knowledgable. I would definitely recommend.
