2006 BMW 320si Homologation Limited Edition in Le Mans Blue

The 320Si was a limited-run homologation special road version of the full race spec 320si driven to victory by Andy Priaux in both the 2006 and 2007 World Touring Car Championship

The motoring press at the time referred to the road production version 320si as a BABY M3.

Back in 2006 BMW intended to keep the unknown 320SI somewhat of a secret . Only 2600 were released by BMW worldwide with a mere 500 came to the UK . It is reported that just 107 survivors remain registered on UK roads today.

This particular car was last owned and maintained by a gentleman who being a BMW marque expert has written and published Essential Buyers Guides for various models of the BMW range of recent decades.

320Si engines were designed and hand built at the BMW Sauber Formula One factory

The upshot of the changes from a standard 320 M Sport is that the 320si’s engine develops 171bhp at 7000rpm. The 0-62mph time falls from 9.8 secs from the standard production M Sport to 8.1secs and the top speed increases to 140mph with lots of other technical changes.
