Key details:
2009 BMW 120i SE, just 17,900 miles from new. Ex BMW Park Lane demonstrator followed by two private keepers. First registered in 2009, sold by Park Lane to its second keeper in February 2010, then acquired by the last keeper in January 2019. When new it was ordered with £5,950 of factory options.
Provenance:
Supplied new by BMW Park Lane as a main dealer demonstrator, so it carries an unusually high level of factory equipment. After just four months it was sold to a private keeper who kept the car for 8 years. The last owner, from January 2019, again used the car very sparingly and clearly regarded it as a keeper rather than a daily workhorse.
Mileage and use:
Total mileage is just 17,900 from new. In its first ten years it covered only 7,700 miles, and has continued to see only light use since. The car will be sold with a new 12 month MOT.
Condition:
Inside, the car is virtually as new. Seats, steering wheel, trim and switchgear all show minimal wear.
Externally, it presents in very good original condition for its age. The panels are straight and the paintwork is tidy, with only light, age related marks on close inspection as you would expect from an honest, unrestored example.
The original factory alloys are still fitted and have been left untouched. They would benefit from being refurbished to bring them fully in keeping with the rest of the car, and because they are the original items, this is an easy win for the next owner who wants the car to look “as new”.
Category N status:
We purchased this car as a Cat N due to front wing damage (see photo). The wing has been professionally repaired and repainted; the dent was too small to justify replacing the entire wing and applying unnecessary additional paintwork, so a quality repair was the most sensible option. This was a non structural category, relating only to cosmetic damage to the panel. Insurers do not usually apply special terms or load premiums solely on this basis, and Cat N status does not appear on the vehicle registration document (V5C).
Equipment:
Being a Park Lane demonstrator, it was specified with approximately £5,950 in optional extras when new, giving it a very high specification for a 120i SE. A full options list can be provided on request.
Summary:
A rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally low mileage, high spec 2009 BMW 120i SE with main dealer demonstrator provenance, Cat N non structural history properly repaired, just 17,900 miles from new, a virtually as new interior, very smart exterior and original alloys ripe for refurbishment.
