The Unity Centre is looking for an organised and confident Bids & Fundraising Manager to help secure funding for our not-for-profit community wellbeing centre and the projects we deliver within our local community.
The role will include:
Researching local and national grant and funding opportunities
Identifying suitable funding opportunities and checking eligibility
Writing, editing and submitting compelling funding bids
Managing application and reporting deadlines
Maintaining accurate records of current, historic and planned applications
Gathering information, evidence and statistics to support bids
Completing funder reports and project evaluations
Building positive relationships with funding organisations
Working closely with our Director, Finance team and other Unity managers
We are looking for someone with excellent written and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently. Previous experience of grant research, bid writing or fundraising would be highly desirable.
An understanding of community wellbeing, holistic health or the not-for-profit sector would also be beneficial.
Hours: 8–12 hours per week, with flexibility around funding deadlines.
Location: The Unity Centre, Lewes, with the option for remote working
Contract: Self-employed.
