An exceptional example of a DAX 427 Cobra, presented in immaculate condition throughout and guaranteed to turn heads wherever it goes.

Built in 2006 by Dave Brookes of DB Replicas, widely recognised as the former chief build agent at DAX, this car carries an age-related 1977 registration, qualifying it for historic vehicle status. Finished in striking Mercedes diamond black, it is fully IVA certified, correctly registered, and ready to be driven and enjoyed immediately.

Under the bonnet sits a 6.5L Mike Huddart Ford 351 Windsor V8, stroked to 397 cubic inches, paired with a Tremec 5-speed TKO manual transmission, delivering exhilarating performance. The engine was fully rebuilt in early 2024, at 12,000 miles, by the highly regarded Daryl Hammer at Hammer Engine Solutions in collaboration with Golding Barn Garage at a cost of £12,900, with a video of the build available on YouTube (“7 litre V8 DAX AC Cobra engine build”).

The driving experience is further enhanced by the unmistakable soundtrack from the high-performance, authentic-style 5” stainless steel exhaust system.

The fully aluminium-lined engine bay is enhanced with numerous polished and stainless steel upgrades, including Cobra Le Mans rocker covers, a polished Edelbrock air filter, silicone coolant hoses, and a polished expansion tank demonstrating meticulous attention to detail throughout.

Supplied with the car is its tonneau cover, original chrome bumpers and overriders.

Having covered just over 17,500 miles since its build, the car benefits from a comprehensive documented history, including servicing records and a fully adjustable suspension geometry setup.
