Cinder - 15.3hh, 7 year old OTTB - For Part Loan

📍 To stay at her current yard outside Ashbourne, where she is on full livery.

I am looking for a kind and reliable loaner for my wonderful 7 year old, 15.3hh, mare, Cinder.

I don’t have the time to ride her as much as she needs to develop her further.

🐴 About Cinder:

Generally a well mannered horse, who stands for mounting.

Easy to catch, groom (including clipping) and handle.

Stands still for baths and in the solarium.

Hacks alone and in company, but can be a little spooky when by herself, but will keep moving forward when given some patience.

Has done some small cross country jumps, and seems to enjoy them.

Has been over some poles in the school, but she has not had much experience with them so can back away from them initially.

Cinder is eager to learn, but due to some historic lameness, has not been able develop much since coming off the track. However, she has been given the all clear to get back into work.

The yard is a respected yard with two outdoor schools, a cross country course and local bridleways accessible by quiet roads.

Costs and Responsibilities

As mentioned above, Cinder is on full livery, so there is no requirement to organise turn in/turn out or feeding, except with the yard staff if riding affects her schedule. They are more than willing to accommodate. However, there will need to be a financial contribution to her towards her care.

Cinder has a farrier visit every 5 weeks or so.

I am looking for someone who is experienced with spicy horses, especially OTTBs, and wants to bring a horse on. Days can be flexible, but ideally, I would prefer Sundays for myself due to my own schedule.

Fun fact, Cinder’s sibling recently competed at Burghley (out of Zoffany)!
