Margot (Velvett Action) is a wonderfully natured mare and we feel she has so much untapped potential. She was bought as a project in November but unfortunately we have not had the time to do much with her.
She has Hunted with us and was happy enough with the hounds, noise and crowd etc. She can get a bit impatient waiting around and has been known to throw in the odd kick if other horses are up too close and personal. We took her to try her hoof at cross country and she absolutely loved it. This I feel could be her calling in life. She had competed in showjumping before we bought her but seems to have become quite school sour and will nap quite badly so it’s not something we have done a lot of as we tried to focus on finding something she liked rather than force her into something she doesn’t!
She is good to catch, clip, trim, load and bathe. We have never had shoes on her but she did come to us with 1 shoe left on so know she has been shoed. She has been perfectly fine barefoot while with us.
She is a lot of horse and would be a lot of work but I really feel in the right hands she would be fantastic. She is very kind and affectionate towards people and other horses. She loves nothing more than a good pamper and quality time on the ground.
She is quite accident prone (it’s the TB in her) and she does tend to come in with cuts and scrapes from her shenanigans in the field but all are superficial.
£2.5k or £3k with all tack. Saddle almost brand new and fitted to her in February.
She is in no way suitable for novice, nervous or child riders!
