"Storm" Grey Gelding All Rounder

Storm is a truly special boy, and this is an incredibly difficult decision after five wonderful years together. He has the kindest temperament, adores people, and is an absolute pleasure to have around both on the yard and under saddle.

Storm is a safe, sensible ride with a laid back nature and is excellent in all traffic. He is very much more whoa than go, making him an enjoyable, confidence giving horse for the right rider. Like many Connemaras, he has a cheeky side and is clever enough to know who is on board. If his rider isn’t used to a laid back horse, he’ll happily see if he can get away with doing as little work as possible. He’s never nasty or difficult, but he does appreciate a rider who will ride positively and encourage him when needed.

When hunting, on the beach or out on fun rides, he comes to life with plenty of enthusiasm. He enjoys being up at the front and can be forward in these settings, so he would suit a confident rider who appreciates a horse with a little more sparkle when out having fun.

He absolutely thrives on a varied lifestyle and loves hacking, hunting, beach rides, forest tracks, fun rides and cross country. He is happiest when he’s out exploring and doing a job.

Storm is not suited to an arena-focused home, as he simply doesn’t enjoy arena work. He is far happier out hacking or hunting than spending time in a school, so we’re looking for a home where he can enjoy the lifestyle he loves rather than one centred around schooling or competitions.

He would be ideal for an experienced rider looking for a safe, genuine horse to hack, hunt and enjoy adventures with. He is not suitable for a novice, as he can occasionally be cheeky if he’s had time off or is feeling fresh.

Storm means the world to us, so finding him the right home is our absolute priority.

To be completely transparent, Storm has previously been medicated in his hocks and sacroiliac (SI) region. He is currently sound, enjoying an active lifestyle, and we’re happy to discuss his full veterinary history with genuinely interested buyers. He is priced accordingly, and a knowledgeable 5★ home is essential.
