Springtyme Gilded Cloud, affectionately known as Cloudy, is an exceptionally striking deep, rich buckskin tobiano Warmblood colt with quality, substance and presence already.

He is beautifully put together, with plenty of bone, a lovely expressive head and a strong, substantial frame. But as gorgeous as he is to look at, it is his temperament that we love most.

Cloudy is incredibly friendly, sweet-natured and people-orientated. He is inquisitive, confident and always pleased to see you, just a genuinely lovely little horse to have around.

THE BREEDING

Cloudy’s dam is our impressive 17hh Casaheidi, a Trakehner × KWPN mare with some lovely European sport-horse breeding behind her.

Casaheidi is by Honeybrook Casanova, by the coloured Trakehner Camaro, and is out of Glen Appin, by KWPN stallion Glennridge, bringing in Wellington further back.

Casaheidi also has a full sister owned by and in training with a Grand Prix rider.

His sire is the absolutely stunning Iced Gold, a 17hh cremello Polish Warmblood — a big, substantial and incredibly eye-catching stallion whose pedigree traces back to the exceptional Argentina Z, dam of the legendary international showjumper Ratina Z.

So underneath Cloudy’s rather spectacular paint job is some interesting European sport-horse breeding.

With both parents standing around 17hh, Cloudy is expected to make a good-sized, substantial horse. Even at this young age he has plenty of frame, bone and presence.

She is by the late U-Genius, the impressive 17.2hh black AES-approved dressage stallion by Olympic Team Gold medallist Uthopia, out of Weidyfleur II, the full sister to the legendary dressage horse Valegro. U-Genius was admired for his outstanding canter, trainability, temperament and ability to pass on height, substance and athleticism to his offspring.

Indie’s dam is by Hochadel, one of the most respected black dressage sires, known for producing elegant, rideable horses with excellent movement and trainable temperaments. Hochadel’s pedigree combines influential bloodlines including Hohenstein and Donnerhall, both hugely influential names in modern dressage breeding.
