"Special " Bay Mare All Rounder

2019 rising 7yo KWPN mare by POKER DE MARIPOSA x Calvados. Approx 16.3

1.50-1.60 jumpers through out family on both sides back 4 generations

Had a foal 2024 before being imported from Holland & coming to myself & being Broken in March 2025.

Special is a really lovely horse and a fairly easy ride!

She would be a phenomenal team chaser, eventer or showjumper or family allrounder horse!

For a big horse she turns almost as good as a pony! And jumps off any stride and angle!

Has been part of hunt relay team at county shows across summer 2026.

Recently stepped up to newcomers (1.10) after only competing at a handful of shows.

Just started training at home at 1.20/1.30 with ease.

Attended her first ever stay away show where she took it all in her stride and was hand grazed daily by a 9yo girl!

Has competed with a petite 14yo girl at her first ever bs show jumping a double clear and looking after her impeccably.

She attended her first ever hunt which was a super busy Boxing Day hunt & she behaved perfectly taking it all in her stride.

However on her next outing she did threaten/ lift a leg towards another horse. Never done this previously including ridding and leading!

Doesn’t look at fillers etc and takes a miss.

She is more whoah than go so requires a stronger legged rider.

Snaffle mouthed at home at all times however we do use a stronger bit competing/hunting.

Brilliant and brave XC, beach/fun rides.

Good hacking alone or in company first or last.

Good to handle on ground etc although can pull the usual mare faces at times & with a less confident person handling she may sometimes test her boundaries but she does listen and respect when asked to remember her manners.

She did an occasional buck during flying changes in the colder winter months when fresh/had a few days off. Not recently.

Had a wind op & Was turned away for end of summer 2025, this was very successful & This does not affect her in any way. You would never know I just like to be honest!

Up to date with everything.

Sad sale but realistically I cannot afford neither do I have the time to keep fit & compete as many horses as I currently have and it’s not fair to just turn her away again.
