Description

Shylo 11.2 hh 8 year old gelding - lead rein.

Shylo was taken as a foal with his mum to

RSPCA until we got him aged 4 and therefore has had the best start in life. Since then we have slowly played away with him. He is a very clever pony but needs more time and attention than we have sadly.

We have done everything with him - he has been to pony club (fine for games doing cups, flags, bottles) beach, pleasure rides, a couple of shows including fancy dress and lots of hacks out at home.

Will trot to voice command.

Not spooky and if anything is more curious. Fine with traffic.

He travels well in a trailer we have no issues loading. Up to date with vaccines and teeth. Needs someone to stand with him while he has feet trimmed by farrier.

Lives on fresh air- will balloon very quickly. We try to keep him on restricted grazing, never had problems with laminitis.

He does not like to stand still and will nudge you and try to nip because he likes to be on the move. He has never ever nipped my kids as it is only when you’re stood next to him with him held on the lead that he will try it. He does fidget to get girth fastened but we get there within a minute or two.

He is a pain to bath but again you just have to battle on and he does give in.

Fine in the stable and being groomed. My kids love colouring him in!! (See pics)

He has never bucked or reared when ridden. When he first gets to a venue he can be on his toes but then within a few mins becomes very chill and can actually be a bit lazy!

We are in no rush to sell and in time he will be a great child’s pony so would like to sell to a knowledgeable home who has the time to bring him on. He is not for a novice family. He is a lot of fun and has a great personality and has given my girls plenty of entertainment!
