"Rusty" Bay Gelding Lead Rein/First Ridden Pony

With heavy hearts, the time has come for our daughter to move on to horses, and we are looking for exceptional 5⭐ homes for our two much-loved ponies, Freddie and Rusty.

Having been part of our family since they were young ponies, they have spent the last six years helping our daughter grow from a complete novice into a confident young rider. They have given her the most wonderful childhood, countless happy memories, and experiences that money simply cannot buy.

These are genuine family ponies who have patiently looked after our daughter every step of the way. She started on the lead rein and remained on it until she was confident enough to ride independently. Throughout that journey, Freddie and Rusty taught her confidence, trust, and horsemanship, always taking care of her and helping her learn.

Both ponies are still regularly ridden by novice children and are equally happy being led when needed. Freddie particularly adores being a lead rein pony and would happily do that job every day. They are kind, honest ponies who know their role and take great pride in looking after their little riders.

Professionally Educated & Fun to Ride

Both ponies have been professionally produced and sympathetically educated from a young age, giving them an excellent foundation. They are well-schooled, responsive, and mannerly, yet remain safe and enjoyable for children.

They thoroughly enjoy their jumping and happily pop around courses of fences, making them ideal for children wanting to progress and have fun. Whether it’s Pony Club, competitions, fun rides, hunting, or simply hacking out, they approach everything with enthusiasm and a willing attitude.

Our daughter competes at Grassroots level with her school NSEA team, and both ponies have qualified for Hickstead. They genuinely enjoy getting out and about and are happy to turn their hooves to almost anything.

Hacking & Manners

• Hack alone or in company

• Good in traffic 99% of the time

• Love hacking and exploring

• Travel in a trailer (a few treats sometimes help with loading!)

• Sensible and level-headed

• Happy to have time off without becoming sharp, silly, or difficult

Temperament

Their personalities are what truly make them special.

Both ponies are incredibly affectionate, kind, and people-oriented. They adore being groomed, fussed over, and spending time with their humans. They have been treasured members of our family for many years and have grown up in a busy home environment.

They regularly spend time in our garden and are so friendly that they often poke their heads through open windows looking for attention. Given the opportunity, they would happily stroll into the house and make themselves at home!

Freddie is particularly easy-going and loves to please. He takes life in his stride and is the sort of pony everyone falls in love with.

These ponies owe us absolutely nothing. They have given our daughter the most incredible years and have been cherished members of our family. Finding the right homes is far more important than a quick sale.
