"Roo (Robbie Galway)" Bay Gelding Young Sport Horse

Roo is a 5 year old Irish sport horse who was backed last year but unfortunately hasn’t had consistent work due to lack of time. Currently standing at around 15.3hh but expected to reach around 16.2hh. He’s got such a lovely temperament but can play up if he doesn’t understand what is being asked of him. He’s got a very sensible head and has never done anything dangerous with a rider on him. He’s very eager to learn and absolutely loves his job, he hacks out with other horses so far only around the tracks at our yard but not yet tried going out on the roads. He’s a very forward going and confident horse. Roo has had a lameness in his back leg which was checked over by Leahurst, they’ve just said he needs more muscle in his hindquarters and they’ve given stretches and exercises to do to build his muscle up. He is up to date with dentist, farrier, hygienist and is due soon to have his 2nd vaccination. He stands perfectly for all. He’s a gentle giant and loves to play with toys and in the arena. He’s a social butterfly and loves attention and a good fuss. Roo is still green so would need a confident and experienced rider to show him what to do. He’s fine to tack up and is more than happy for people to get on him but he does rely on his rider to tell him what to do. We’re still working on things like standing at the mounting block it’s not always perfect but he is getting their. Only thing you’ve got to watch with him is he will literally eat anything in site 🙈 and can be nibbly. 5 star loving home, only the best for him as he’s a very special boy.
