Corka has been a valuable member of my equine assisted coaching team for 3 years but it is now time for his next adventure.
He was backed 2 weeks ago and has not put a foot wrong. He has:
- Hacked out alone and in company, on roads and in open spaces.
- Seen coloured poles and jumped a small course.
- Jumped XC fences including steps, ditches and water
and has taken everything in his stride.
He is good to load and catch and stands still for farrier and vet. He is impeccably behaved on the ground with both children and adults.
Obviously, he is not yet a first ridden simply due to how little time he's had under saddle but I think the right, experienced home would get him there very quickly and in the meantime he would be a wonderful lead rein pony or a really fun pc pony for a capable little rider.
I've no doubt he could turn his hand to anything - mounted games, showing, pc polo, jumping - he just needs the right family to give him the opportunity.
