"Pabbie" Bay Gelding Mountain & Moorland Pony

Project horse - Pabbie

Pabbie is a 13.2hh 4 year old new forest pony. He came off the new forest wild spring last year, and I bought him end of summer last year. In that time he was left over winter and brought into work over spring and summer.

Lives in or out, and so so sweet. He has been great with my little little kids, would never dream of lifting his back feet or biting. Loves a treat and is so trainable, he is such a smart boy and a beautiful lad to look at.

Pabbie does have a very anxious personality and needs someone with a lot of experience and confidence. He is lunging nicely with tack in walk and trot (has started a couple of stride of canter but needs a lot of work) and is long reining away from the yard beautifully. He will excel out hacking as he is more confident off the yard then he is in a school.

I have sat on and walked around the yard on him. He is tense being mounted and needs some serious work before being asked of more in the saddle but he will come around with consistency and confidence.

He has had his teeth done, physio and saddle checked and is 100%. I have two toddlers at home so I do not have the time to back him properly and I want to give him the chance to develop with someone else.

He is good with everything, but does need a headcollar left on in the field. Happy to talk in more detail or show a potential buyer absolutely anything they wish to know.
