Dan is a fun, sweet boy who enjoys a groom and a fuss, easy to catch, box, trim (he is barefoot) and clip. Needs sedation for dentist.
Easy to take out on your own and happy to stand on the lorry. He is a lovely all-rounder, but not a novice ride. Suitable for older teenagers or a small adult in a 121 home, with previous experience of forward, sensitive ponies.
Dan is a much loved pony who has been in the same home for 8 years. However, due to owner’s lack of time he has recently been on loan and is now very sadly for sale.
Dan is brilliant to hack and to take on fun rides. He hacks alone or in company, will go first or last, has been often used as a nanny to more nervous horses, never spooks, bucks, naps, etc, enjoys popping over logs. Rides out on the buckle.
Dan has taken part in local events jumping clinics, arena eventing clinics, etc. He has also won an eventers challenge event. However, he can be very forward going, especially jumping, and needs a rider who is calm, sympathetic and used to riding with very light hands. He can also get tense and worried in new arenas and buzzy atmospheres. It takes him a little while to settle into a new home and learn to trust a new rider, but once established he is a fun and rewarding pony.
