"Lucky" Bright Bay Gelding Ex Racehorse

❤️ HEARTBREAKING SALE – A TRUE GENTLEMAN ❤️

Serious enquiries only. A very special home is sought. Would suit mother teen share

14-year-old Bay Thoroughbred Gelding | 16.2hh

This is an incredibly difficult decision, made purely due to a change in personal circumstances. Finding the right home for this special boy is our absolute priority.

Retired sound from National Hunt racing last March following a final winning race, he has since thoroughly enjoyed a quieter life hacking and being someone's much-loved companion.

He is an absolute gentleman in every sense of the word. The kind of horse that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Temperament & Manners

He is exceptionally safe and straightforward to handle, with beautiful manners both in and out of the stable. He is turned in and out by a 7-year-old and is genuinely trustworthy around children.

He has:

- Never bitten or kicked.

- No buck, rear or silly behaviour.

- Excellent manners on the ground.

- Loads and travels perfectly.

- No vices that we are aware of.

He absolutely loves attention and human company. You could groom him all day and he would happily stand there enjoying every minute. He is affectionate, kind-hearted and a real pleasure to have around.

Hacking

An absolute dream to hack. Nothing seems to faze him, whether hacking alone or in company.

He has been happily hacked out by children in a group, including on the lead rein. Not that I am suggesting this be his job!! Of ciurse...just simply highlighting how sensible he is. He enjoys the occasional little gallop and comes back beautifully and is never strong. Ridden in a snaffle. He doesn't need to be in constant work, due to my circumstances he can go weeks without being worked and I know I can just pick up where we left off and go with no issues at all

Education & Potential

He hasn't done a great deal of schooling since retiring from racing, but he is incredibly willing, eager to please and genuinely enjoys learning.

He doesn't argue when introduced to something new and takes everything in his stride.

He has beautiful movement, is clean-limbed and straight, and with the right schooling and guidance, we feel he could make a lovely prospect for the show ring.

The Home We Are Looking For

This boy deserves a special 1-1 home where he will be loved, appreciated and treated as part of the family.

He isn't being sold through any fault of his own. This is simply a heartbreaking change in circumstances, and we want nothing more than to find him the forever home he deserves.

He really does have a heart of gold, and whoever is lucky enough to have him will be gaining a very special horse.

£2,500

Serious enquiries only. Please, genuine interest from people who can offer him the loving home he deserves.
