"Khaleesi" Black Mare Cob/Heavy Horse

16.2 Friesian Mare

Khaleesi is our 6 year old mare. We have had her since she was 2 years old and she really means the world to us. This is a very sad sale but after much deliberation we have decided she would be better off with someone who can give her the undivided attention she deserves!

She is a sweet and funny mare but takes no prisoners. She is strong minded, brave and willing! She requires a firm but kind handler as she is a big girl and she knows it!

She’s great to catch, clip, shoe, bathe, load etc.

She has hunted a few times last year and loved it. She was not phased by the hounds or noise. Jumping isn’t her strong suit as she hasn’t done much of it due to her age but she will give it a good go, albeit clumsily. She has been to a couple of local shows and is happy with the rustle and bustle of it all. I think she would do great showing with the right rider.

She is broken to drive and is really forward when driven. She pulled the carriage at our wedding and was the guest of honour. She really is a special horse!

She is a safe ride and more woah than go! She has been ridden a lot by my 11 year old daughter and she really gets the best out of her in the school. She likes a hack in company but can be unsure on her own. That’s not to say she won’t go but she requires a patient and confident rider that will help her figure it out!

She is full Friesian, B book registered with KFPN.

We bought her from Ireland as a youngster.

Not suitable for a novice or child.

She will come with all tack including her black Bates Dressage saddle, bridle, bit and collection of Lemieux saddle pads.
