He has been out to local shows with me where he is always in the ribbons. He loads easily and stands to travel just can be a little shouty but nothing more than that.
He’s good to live in and out but needs friends around him, being left alone can upset him
Johnny is naturally quite a stressy boy but once he feels settled and knows his routine he’s lovely to be around
*Advertising from field as not been in work for a couple of months due to no fault of his own*
During the two years I’ve had him he’s had a very slow start in his education making sure everything has been done at his own pace (which is the way he prefers although is still a very quick learner)
He lunges all 3 paces in beautiful gaits understanding all different aids especially voice commands
Ridden wise Johnny is still green so absolutely no novices or children, he requires a strong, confident adult who is used to ‘sharper’ horses. He is a forward going ride but will do anything you ask of him to his best ability. Although I wouldn’t describe him as being strong, he can be known to throw in an excitable buck but nothing malicious, he is sensitive and lacks confidence especially in the canter where he feels more unbalanced, he will let you know if he doesn’t like something. His walk and trot is more or less established. In the right hands I believe he will go very far; he is bred for the show ring with breeding to prove (relatives from stud HOYS and RI winners)
Any history can be discussed with potential buyers however I’m not letting him go to anyone and will take my time with this sale as this is hard enough as it is.
