He’s been to plenty of shows in hand and he’s always in the ribbons, he’s shown locally, at a county show and he qualified for stars champions of champions in 2024 which he behaved amazing at for his first stay away show. He’s done a few local workers classes too over the winter, I think this is something he could really excel in as he is showing potential over some jumps and he’s a very flashy pony. Kobie has done a lot of jumping too over the winter, he seems to really enjoy his jumping and has been out to a couple of shows competing in 40-50cm classes. I’ve mostly done hacking with him, which is what he enjoys the most he’s happy to hack on his own or with other horses doesn’t get strong or silly, he hacks on buckle end.
He’s not at all phased by cars, buses, lorry’s or farm machinery. He’s used to farm animals and dogs etc.
However, Kobie does bronc occasionally, this happens when i’m in canter. I’ve found when he’s in consistent work keeping his mind busy he’s happy, but he’s unfortunately being wasted here with me as he knows he can take the mick a bit and i’m not confident enough to ride him through it. He has been sent on schooling livery for a week and with a stronger, more confident rider on him he went beautifully and didn’t try to bronc once.
He’s up to date with jabs, dentist, farrier etc.
Very sad sale, however I do think it’s a shame for him to go to waste in the field and i’m trying to do what’s right for the pony.
