Light hack/low level dressage
Requires light weight rider (10st max)
Bad bits first:
Grumpy bitey and weaves when loose in the stable, will behave when head collared - not keen on being in but needs to come in at night in the winter unless you have mud free turnout area.
But the good far outweighs the bad:
Different horse when he's out, comes for a cuddle and a scratch, loves attention, smiles for treats.
Well behaved in hand, dope on a rope kind of energy. With me has hacked alone and in company, some light schooling, long reined and lunged. Started learning a bit of shoulder in and leg yield in hand. Parks at the mounting block pretty well but still needs a bit of fine tuning.
He would not suit jumping due to previous injury but has nice paces and a willing attitude to learning. He would make a lovely low level dressage horse, and I suspect he'd do well in the show ring too - ror eligible
Full disclosure:
Has had a previous minor injury in racing in 2023. He has had extensive rehab, is regularly seen by physio and is sound. No expense spared to get him to where he is now.
Up to date jabs, teeth, shoes etc etc
Sold from the field and not currently fit but can tack him up and have a little walk/trot about.
Happy to send more photos/videos.
