This is without a doubt one of the hardest adverts I have ever had to write. Vinnie is not just a pony to us — he has been a huge part of our family, and saying goodbye is a decision that has broken our hearts. 💔

Vinnie is the most wonderful, genuine little pony and would be perfect for a child moving on from a Shetland, or someone looking for a fabulous all-rounder who can become a real best friend.

🏆 SHOWING & EDUCATION 🏆

Vinnie has already been to local shows and has had fantastic success, bringing home the reds. He also took my 6-year-old to her very first competition and behaved impeccably. ❤️

He has had a fantastic start to his education. As a 4-year-old, he spent a huge amount of time out hacking and exploring the world, giving him a lovely foundation and allowing him to see so much of life.

This spring he began his schooling and took to it like an absolute dream.

He is a lovely, willing pony who genuinely wants to please.

Vinnie loves his hacking and is just as happy going out alone as he is in company. He is sensible on the roads, good around traffic, happy trotting along grass verges and is equally comfortable in open fields.

Whether he has my 6-year-old on board or an adult, his attitude remains the same. He is a genuine, uncomplicated little horse who gives his rider confidence.

👧🏼 CHILDREN & HANDLING 👧🏼

Vinnie absolutely adores children and is handled daily by a 6-year-old. He puts up with an incredible amount from her and has always been so patient and kind.

He will stand all day to be groomed and is happy having his legs blow-dried with a blaster, his hair straightened, bathed, clipped and generally fussed over. He really is one of those ponies who loves being part of everything. 🥹💙

🌟 THE FUTURE 🌟

With further ridden education over the winter, I genuinely believe Vinnie has an incredibly exciting future ahead of him in the ridden showing world.

He has the quality, conformation, feather and presence to really stand out and, in the right hands, I believe he could become a future HOYS junior coloured contender.

He would also make a fantastic Pony Club pony and would absolutely love having a little jockey to take him out and about and enjoy everything together.

Vinnie is a true-to-type traditional Gypsy Cob with an abundance of quality. He is substantial, beautifully put together and easily carries an adult.

He is a real yard favourite and turns heads absolutely everywhere he goes. He is incredibly easy to have around and is the sort of pony that becomes part of the family rather than simply another horse on the yard.

💔 THE HARD PART 💔

Before the Facebook warriors arrive, please understand that this is not a decision we have taken lightly.

Vinnie has been loved, cherished and invested in enormously. This is probably one of the most heartbreaking decisions we have ever had to make.

Due to significant changes in our circumstances, and with Paisley now deciding that she no longer wants to continue with horses, it simply isn’t fair for a pony of Vinnie’s quality and potential to have his future put on hold.

He deserves a little jockey who will adore him, get him out and about, continue his education and give him the life he deserves.

Selling Vinnie was never on our list. If anything, he was the pony we imagined keeping for years and watching Paisley grow with.

That is what makes this so incredibly difficult. 💔

But sometimes loving an animal means making the heartbreaking decision to let them go where they can continue to thrive.

We don’t want Vinnie’s potential to be wasted. We want him to find his forever family, where he will be loved as much as he has been here and bring another child the happiness, confidence and memories that he has given us.

He truly deserves the very best. ❤️

We will be extremely particular about where Vinnie goes because his next home matters more to us than simply selling him.
