GF EDI — beautiful 2-year-old bay mare, born 3rd June 2024, with an exciting pedigree packed with proven jumping and eventing bloodlines.
By Je T’Aime Flamenco, himself by the hugely influential Flamenco de Semilly, GF EDI carries the famous Le Tot de Semilly line.
🏆 A pedigree with proven international success
Her sire line is particularly exciting. Le Tot de Semilly was a genuine international Grand Prix winner and competed successfully at the highest level, including 22 international classes and 63 national classes. He went on to become one of the most influential showjumping sires of his generation, producing over 1,000 jumping winners and around 70 approved stallion sons. His offspring include legendary performers such as Diamant de Semilly and Itot du Château.
Flamenco de Semilly, her grandsire, was himself an international performer and became a highly regarded sire. He was ranked 41st in the 2011 WBFSH showjumping sire rankings, with his offspring including Wonderboy III and Je T’Aime Flamenco.
Her sire Je T’Aime Flamenco competed internationally, including at 1.45m–1.60m level, with FEI records showing appearances in CSI and CSIO competition.
🌟 The dam line is equally interesting
GF EDI’s dam is Grantevka Little Gem, by Filesco, bringing in Dutch jumping blood through Boss, Indoctro, Nimmerdor, Phin Phin, Chin Chin and Calvados. Filesco’s pedigree contains multiple proven 1.40m–1.60m jumping lines, including Indoctro, Capitol I, Nimmerdor, Phin Phin and Calvados.
Further down her dam line is Grannex, a proven sport-horse sire whose descendants have excelled particularly in eventing. A notable example is Granntevka Prince, by Grannex out of Showgirl Ditton Peace — the same maternal line appearing in GF EDI’s pedigree. Granntevka Prince competed successfully at international eventing level, including Burghley, Lexington, Luhmühlen and Pau, and was a four-star World Cup qualifier performer.
The line has also produced Granntevka Prince, who won the CCIJ1* at Tattersalls, and the Grannex line continues to produce horses competing at CCI4-S level*.
💎 The opportunity
