Freddie and Rusty are the kind, genuine, confidence-giving ponies every parent hopes to find for their child. Safe enough to teach a complete beginner, yet capable enough to enjoy Pony Club, jumping, competitions, fun rides, hunting and everything in between.

Having owned them since they were youngsters, they have spent the last six years helping our daughter progress from a nervous novice on the lead rein to a confident rider competing at Grassroots level. They have taught her confidence, independence, sportsmanship and a love of horses that will stay with her forever.

As our daughter is now moving on to horses, these special boys are looking for their next little jockeys to love and look after.

Freddie absolutely loves being a lead rein pony and would happily spend all day looking after his little rider. Both ponies remain regularly ridden by novice children and are happy to be led whenever needed.

Their Personalities

The thing we will miss most about Freddie and Rusty is their affectionate nature.

These ponies genuinely love people. They are part of our family and spend much of their time wanting to be involved in whatever we are doing. They regularly wander around our garden, poke their heads through open windows looking for attention and would happily move into the house if we let them!

Freddie is particularly laid-back and eager to please, while Rusty has a lovely character of his own and has been an equally important part of our daughter’s journey.

They are not just riding ponies; they are best friends, confidence builders and family members.
