"Forbearing 'Fuzz'" Bay Gelding Companion Horse

We are searching for a kind, understanding forever home for a lovely 8 year old gelding affectionately known as “Fuzz”.

Fuzz has been a loyal servant to racing, running 29 times and winning 3 races during his career across Ireland, France and England. Now it’s his turn to enjoy a quieter life and simply be loved for who he is.

Fuzz is being rehomed primarily as a companion horse. He absolutely loves other horses and enjoys turnout and company. He does have a real zest for life and a huge personality, but he can be unpredictable under saddle and is easily spooked. He has been known to run backwards when ridden, which is why we feel a non-ridden or very minimal ridden home is the kindest option for him going forward.

He may enjoy the odd quiet potter in an arena with a very experienced rider, but our priority is finding him a safe, mainly companion home where he can relax and enjoy life.

Fuzz is currently building condition after arriving to us very underweight from a previous companion situation. He is improving well with proper care and turnout. He can crib when bored or stressed, although this improves significantly with turnout and routine.

He will leave us with a tidy mane and lots of love from everyone here. We are only asking for a nominal rehoming fee, however Fuzz will be rehomed on a lifetime contract. Under no circumstances is he to be sold on — if circumstances ever change, he must be returned to us so he always has a safety net.

We are looking for someone who truly wants to give this lovely horse a forever home as a pet and companion. Regular updates will be required.
