It is with a heavy heart that I offer Fern, my beautiful Full Irish Maxi Cob mare, for sale. This is a genuine sale through absolutely no fault of her own, and finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale.

Fern is a 15.2hh, dapple grey mare, aged 4 years and 3 months, with a lovely temperament and a kind, willing nature. She has excellent manners on the ground and is a pleasure to own and handle.

She is:

* Excellent for the farrier.

* Easy to catch, lead and handle.

* Happy to be groomed and bathed.

* Calm around children and dogs.

* Kept on a working farm, so she is accustomed to tractors, telehandlers, farm machinery and the general hustle and bustle of daily farm life. She takes it all in her stride and is not easily fazed.

* A genuine sweetheart who loves affection and, of course, her food!

Fern was lightly backed in Ireland before coming to the UK. After her journey over, I made the decision to give her plenty of time to settle and mature before continuing her education. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected change in personal circumstances, I am no longer able to give her the time and consistency she deserves.

She is therefore looking for an experienced and sympathetic rider with good facilities who can continue her education correctly and bring out her full potential. She has all the ingredients to become a fantastic all-round riding horse, and with the right person, she has a very exciting future ahead of her.

Fern would suit someone who enjoys producing a young horse and wants to build a lasting partnership. She is a genuine, affectionate mare with a lovely outlook on life and deserves a home where she can continue to flourish.

The right home is absolutely essential. I am in no rush to sell and will only let Fern go to someone who can offer her the loving, knowledgeable forever home she truly deserves.
