"Clogs " Bay Gelding Happy Hacker

LOOKING FOR A NEW 🏡 retirement / hacking.

I have had to make the heartbreaking decision to find a new home for Clogs.

Clogs truly is a horse of a lifetime; he has been a part of our family now for over 8 years and has taught me so much. He has coached me from being a nervous rider who had never stepped foot on a cross-country course to flying around BE100’s together.

After sustaining an injury earlier last year

Clog’s jumping days are over, he does still however love to hack out and be given lots of attention. He will only go to the best possible home, ideal for someone looking for a safe, reliable horse to hack. Clogs hacks alone or in company. He is never strong or silly, once settled into his new surroundings he would hack on the buckle all day long.

Clog’s does get attached to other horses he therefore doesn’t love standing on his own to be pampered in the barn if he knows his friends are still out in the field. However once in a routine he will settle and this is not an issue when you are on his back – he always keeps his rider safe.

Clogs turned 17 this year and has had a life of eventing and giving so much to his riders, I am therefore looking for a quiet home for Clogs to continue this next chapter of his life, one where he can be loved and kept in light work.

If my situation was different, I would keep Clogs and give him the retirement he deserves, due to other commitments this just isn’t feasible and I have accepted it is not fair on him when he still has so much to give and could make someone very happy.
