Beautiful 16.2hh black Thoroughbred mare by Twilight Son

6-year-old, stunning black mare with lovely breeding (Twilight Son x Dream Dancing), beautiful movement and a very sweet nature.

Retired from racing at three as she simply didn’t enjoy it. No injuries. She has done very little since and is a blank canvas.

Lovely to handle, comes to call, good for the farrier and loads and travels well. Good with large vehicles. Happy living in or out, barefoot and holds her weight well through winter. Lives happily in a mixed herd with mares, geldings, miniature horses, goats and sheep. Happy out in the rain with a rug, although she appreciates coming in for a warm feed when the weather is truly awful! She can pull a face at dinner time around other horses but is otherwise very respectful.

Recently scoped clear, with ovaries scanned and looking good.

A very sad sale. She is a very special, intuitive mare: she pressed her muzzle against my belly, and that’s how I found out I was two weeks pregnant. I bought her with big plans, but having since had my baby, sadly I haven’t been able to give her the time she deserves. I think she would make a wonderful broodmare. She is simply wasted here with us and I feel guilty as she has so much to offer.
