Callie – 17hh, 8-Year-Old Warmblood × Irish Draught Mare – Newcastle

With a heavy heart, I am looking for the perfect home for Callie, my beautiful 17hh, 8-year-old Warmblood × Irish Draught mare.

Callie is a talented, quality mare with three balanced paces. She is well schooled, loves to jump, and has all the ability to go far with the right rider. Last season she went hunting with me and took part in hedge hopping, proving to be bold, brave, and willing.

She is currently out of work due to no fault of her own. I have sadly lost my confidence with her and feel she deserves someone who can bring out the best in her.

Callie can be nappy, and when she naps she can rear, so she is not suitable for a novice rider. She needs an experienced, confident one-to-one rider who understands sensitive horses and can continue her education. In the right hands, she has all the potential to excel.

She is an absolute pleasure to handle on the ground and is good to catch, clip, shoe, load, and travel. She is also excellent for the vet and farrier.

For complete peace of mind, she has had a full veterinary work-up, and all results are available to view.

This is a truly heartbreaking sale, as Callie is my perfect horse. She deserves a knowledgeable home where she can reach her full potential. The right home is far more important than anything else.
