The Governors of Goring CE Primary School are looking for a committed, hardworking and skilled team player to take on the role of Premises Officer at our very happy and friendly school.

The post is for 25 hours per week, worked over 5 days for 52 weeks of the year with 23 days holiday. The hours will need to be worked as a split shift 7-9am and 3-6pm Monday to Friday and include unlocking in the morning and securing the premises at the end of the day.

The school maintains close links with the Parish Church, St Mary’s and it is anticipated that the successful applicant will be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.

Starting salary: West Sussex County Council Grade 4 (£23,500) /Grade 5 (£24,294) pro-rata dependant on experience.

Goring CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and this position is therefore subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS Check.

The successful candidate will need to complete a pre- employment health check as well as a DBS Enhanced Disclosure. Any offer made will be conditional on all the pre -employment checks being completed satisfactorily.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and will require a signed statement that the individual is not on List 99, disqualified from work with children or subject to sanctions imposed by a regulatory body, and has either, no sanctions, cautions or bind-overs, or has attached details of their record in a sealed envelope marked confidential.

Once in post there will be a full induction programme, including school policies and procedures, safeguarding and child protection and also relevant training and handover from the current post holder.
