My client is a 16 bedded friendly and family run home based in Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire who specialise in the care for older adults with Dementia.
My client is now looking to recruit and experienced Home Manager to join their dedicated team.
Ensure the smooth day to day running of the care home Carry out on calls duties and to be able to cover shifts at short notice as well as managing the required staff complement Ensure compliance with CQC Regulations Working in partnership with the local authorities including the Safeguarding ad DOLs team Liaise with other professional such as district nurses and social workers Keeping self-up to date with changing practices by attending training and conferences etc Deal with emergency admissions Develop holistic care plans for all service users and review as and when required Manage effectively and efficiently the financial, human and material resources needed by the home Ensure that the home remains financially viable To be an ambassador for the home, promoting ad marketing its services Develop effective methods for auditing and assuring the quality of the home's provision and services Making arrangement for introduction and reception of potential and new service users Investigate complaints and follow procedures accordingly Implement and comply with relevant legislation such as employment, environmental health, fire safety and infection control Maintain the agreed program for repairs and planned refurbishments for the upkeep of the premises Ensure the delivery of quality, person centered care Ensure any regulatory activity, such as personal care and administering medicines Organise activities for residents and actively promote their independence Provide information, advice and support to resident’s families Maintain quality standards and ensure health and safety compliance Take on a visible leadership role Recruit, train and supervise staff
RMA or Diploma Level 5 Minimum 18 months experience managing a care home with people with Dementia Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of people, using a variety of communication methods Excellent written skills A passion for working with people and providing person centered care Leadership and management skills The ability to prioritise your own and others work loads
