Nicky can make limited choices with choosing clothes but these have to be a choice of 1 item out of 2 presented to him and which is weather appropriate as Nicky has no sense of the weather conditions outside.
Nicky has a close circle of friends and their families who he loves to see and most of them have known Nicky and his family for most of his life and being with them makes Nicky feel very happy and special.
Nicky takes great pride in his appearance and clothes and will enjoy showing you his shoes hats and glasses.
Nicky loves listening to music on his stereo and iPad and enjoys rocking back and forth to the music.
Nicky also loves praise, helping people with simple tasks, dogs, bowling and going out for pizza with friends.
The other important point is that Nicky’s PA must follow his lead and when he expresses his desire to move onto the next task or go home this must be acted on or this can trigger anxieties for Nicky leading to challenges for all involved.
