Dotted are a digital marketing agency based in Lewes, East Sussex. We’re a group of Digital Marketing experts including designers, writers, analysts and digital specialists and we are now looking for a results-driven Sales and Business Development Manager to actively seek out, engage with new B2B prospects as well manage existing clients.
This is a new role in an expanding company. Your primary focus will be to develop and maintain effective client relationships, securing the long-term flow of work into the team, creating a prospect pipeline to generate client revenue for their brand. Reporting into the MD, you will work with the team to ensure the revenue generated by projects allows them to grow and be ambitious and happy working with diverse clients – continually seeing the opportunity to sell our fantastic product.
Design, lead and execute an aggressive 2018 acquisition sales strategy to generate ongoing revenue.
Become quickly familiar with our data driven creative product suite to generate revenue and facilitate cross functional upsell.
Maintain a high level of weekly sales related activity including cold calls, presentations and proposals to build strong relationships with clients.
Support the leadership of the product pricing strategy, ensuring margins work effectively.
Handle overall responsibility for managing the sales relationship, to bring in the right channel experts to win the pitch.
Help maintain key accounts to push for longer term strategic retainers whilst maintaining quality and ensuring our brand values are achieved.
Be responsible for pitch material production and working with the right channel experts to provide comprehensive proposals.
Provide client and pitch feedback to the full team, including market trends, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to clients, build strategy and extend company offerings.
Coordinating and communicating with sales-support services such as design to manage overall sales process.
Be an instrumental part of the production machine that delivers clear critical paths for internal and client deadlines.
Contribute to the creation of our new brand identity development and new product development path where appropriate.
Create regular reports on sales activity and forecast to senior management.
Support the Managing Director to deliver upon team objectives.
Skills and Experience:
Proven record of success in a high-volume sales environment
Skills in opening, negotiating and closing is essential
5+ years working within a digital or creative organisation and establishing strong relationships across all functions
Knowledge of B2B2C digital marketing channels, including search, social and content
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with the production team
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) at varying levels within organisations
A positive people person with high levels of integrity that takes people with them
A robust network of contacts would be highly desirable
A passion for creative digital products in an agency start up environment
Excellent presentation skills
Must possess own transport and a clean UK driving licence
The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working independently and within a team, with excellent communication skills and a customer centric approach to your work. With proven selling, influencing and negotiation skills, you will have the ability to understand the needs of our key partners and the ability to demonstrate the value of the proposition to the customer. You will be able to manage multiple accounts with professionalism and integrity consistently meeting or exceeding challenging targets.
A majority of the role will be phone/email based, but some travel for face-to-face meetings may be required.
