Processing Plant Operative
H. Ripley & Co Ltd (Ashford) are recruiting for a Plant Operative.
Reporting to the Ashford Plant Manager
Competitive Weekly Pay comparative to experience
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08:00am to 05:30pm and Saturday 08:00am to 12:00pm
(Overtime is available)
A certain amount of flexibility in these times is required.
Experience not necessary but having the right positive attitude and a good level of enthusiasm is.
This role would suit a person who enjoys working outside and will require a good level of physical fitness.
Any person who has an in-date Forklift Truck and past experience of working on a processing plant or undertaking any form of plant maintenance in the past would have an advantage.
The Company provides employees with appropriate work clothing and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
Daily Tasks Would Include:
Responsible for ensuring the effective input of feed material to maximize the production output of the plant. Responsible for assisting in the out loading of post-production materials for onward sale. Undertaking all tasks in a safe and diligent manner and in accordance with all Company Safe Systems of Work. Take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others and for the protection of the environment. Report all accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences to the Plant Manager. On completion of your probation period complete successful training to operate all necessary site plant such as forklift trucks used for the handling and moving of materials Maintaining good housekeeping and keeping all area within your designated work area clear and tidy To undertake all necessary tasks as designated to you by the Plant Manager on a daily basis
