PA required for an easy going and friendly 56 year old lady living in Horley. This lady had a stroke in February last year and as a result has lost feeling in her right hand side. Support with minimal personal care such as washing her hair and shaving her legs. Due to the nature of the personal care this role is for a female support worker. You will support her with some simple daily physiotherapy exercises and training can be provided. Support and encourage her to go to the gym or go out for a daily stroll to aid mobility. You will support her to stay safe for example to be aware of environmental hazards when out, risk of burns when cooking, etc. You will carry out light housework such as hoovering, dusting, shopping, cleaning the bath, ironing, etc. Some light gardening required on occasion. Support to prepare meals under direction, encouraging her to use her left hand to aid dexterity. Support with correspondence, using social media and checking spelling. Support to attend medical appointments. You will drive her mobility car when we going out to activities/appointments.PA must have good communication skills. No agencies. 25 hours a week. Monday – Friday, 9am – 2pm. There can be flexibility in the times worked for the right candidate to be discussed further at interview. Potential job share. Rate of pay £8.02 per hour.
