Sussex Recruitment require an experienced CNC Machinist on behalf of their Client. In this role you will set and operate 5 Axis CNC machines (mainly Matsura) to produce components to the required quality standards. A good general engineering education, IT skills and a working knowledge of setting and operating CNC 5 Axis machines is essential. This position will primarily be an alternating Double Day Shift and the shift premium will provide you with an approx annual salary of £28-30k.
Set and operate 5 Axis CNC machining centres, Matsura and Mazak Plan and organise your workload, work accurately and meet deadlines Follow department procedures and Health & Safety policies Identify and contribute to Company improvement activities Take an active part in improving and maintaining 5S standards
Ideally from an Engineering background you need to demonstrate a positive, proactive and flexible attitude to work and have good communication skills at all levels. You must be able to plan and organise your workload and work accurately to meet deadlines. The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative is essential.
Although this position will primarily be an alternating Double Day Shift you must be willing to work any shift pattern required both for extended and short periods.
