I teach hobby electronics at all ages and abilities, GCSE and A level related questions and University level electronics and engineering mathematics. I have a PhD in electronics engineering and 20 years’ experience developing new products as a research director. I am a PGCE qualified teacher, status number QTS 7614764 and DBS Enhanced Certificate 22 January 2020. I have ten years’ experience in teaching Maths and Science up to A level, one year experience teaching hobby electronics in a public school and one year in a further education college. I have also taught practical lunch time classes in electronics in London secondary schools. I have SEND experience.
I am highly skilled using ORCAD or LTSPICE simulation. I have had 7 patents granted and at least 30 applied for but withdrawn before publication and so can help with patent applications
I have worked with most automotive manufacturers in my speciality: capacitive sensors. I manufactured and supplied Clark's Shoes with around 2000 foot gauges of my patented design for use in their UK retail shops from 1999-2007. I have good skills in ORCAD, LTSPICE, FASTCAP, MATHCAD, MATLAB, VB6, VB.net, C, C++, programming PIC and ARDUINO microcontrollers.
I enjoy electronics and helping others, from children to adults, with the practical and theoretical aspects. For example, if you wish to improve your PC by adding RAM memory or SSD or overclock it to improve it as a games PC.
Have an electronics device to repair i.e. old valve amplifier, lets do it together.
Please email me,, or phone if you have any questions.
I can teach at anytime, during the day, evenings and weekends. Typical tuition cost £25/hour. The price may be less for supervision rather than teaching. Can teach in small groups.
