Using your own vehicle to transport, set up, dismantle and take away charity fundraising stands that are used for community events. This will generally mean two journeys in one day. This gives you a great opportunity to be part of an important team, learning about Chestnut Tree House and using your skills to assist our Community Fundraising Team and volunteers.
We're looking for help in the following areas: Steyning, Henfield, Arundel, Pulbrough, Worthing, Ferring, Clapham, Sompting, Lancing, Littlehampton, Southwick and Shoreham
We will provide you with induction training which will include an Introduction to the Hospice, Health and Safety Awareness and relevant on the job training.
A good level of fitness and strength is required as some of the charity stand items are large and may need carrying a distance from your vehicle. You will also need to have good awareness of your own safety, as well as others, whilst completing the task.
NOTE – Volunteer petrol and parking expenses can be claimed monthly if required
Nimber is a community delivery service that matches items being sent with travellers going the same way. You post what you'd like to buy, and we notify bringers who travel that route. When someone can help they will make you an offer.
Once you receive an offer, arrange pickup and delivery times with the bringer, accept the offer and wait for your items to arrive at your door.
Your card is never charged until your item has been successfully delivered, and there is no cost for posting a request.
