We need you to be a big help to the Catering team to help with the preparation and delivery of meals to children, young people, families and staff at Chestnut Tree House.
The role will involve:
Unpacking and sorting kitchen deliveries
Checking food stations throughout the building
Food preparation for mealtimes
Using kitchen equipment such as dishwasher, food processor and food mixer. Possibly the hand blender too
Making beverages for patients when required
Keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
Induction training which will include an Introduction to the Hospice, Food Hygiene Introduction, Health and Safety Awareness and relevant on the job training
Willing to carry out repetitive tasks and requests from staff
Able to self-manage personal hygiene, skin and other allergies
Flexible, adaptable and willing to work on your own or part of our team
Reliable and good time-keeping
Physically able to carry out allocated tasks
Have an insight children with disabilities and the needs of their families
Mandatory:Approval by the Disclosure and Barring SystemUnderstanding of the importance of confidentialityAny personal grief resolved and not currently be related to someone being supported by Chestnut Tree House now or in the past six months.
Shifts available Monday to Friday, 10am-1pm.
