Sussex Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and target driven Account Manager on behalf of our East Sussex based client. This is a permanent position with an excellent basic salary of £20-£25k, (dependent on experience) and a realistic OTE of £30k.
This role is situated within a small business of 10 employees and you would be working in a friendly, dynamic team, within an open plan office with two other sales people.
Our client supplies to trade / commercial customers throughout the UK & Europe. The main market sectors are DIY and electrical wholesale including high street retailers.
Working as part of the sales team the successful applicant will be responsible for quoting and negotiating business with clients. Likewise, where possible, following these quotes through to conversion and securing repeat business. In addition, the work involves developing further sales from existing and prospective clients via strong account management and a proven tele-sales ability.
Industrial experience and / or knowledge within the DIY or electrical wholesale sectors is highly desirable as you will need to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise to the client.
Previous office based sales experience, along with a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and a confident and clear telephone manner are essential for this role as is being highly numerate and literate, with a strong working knowledge of MS Office programmes.
You will also need a proven track record of achieving substantial revenue growth from existing customers as well as developing and converting your own sales pipeline as well as strong remote account management skills and the ability to self-motivate and remain tenacious and driven.
As the Account Manager you will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of market trends and competitor strategies as well as keeping up to date with new products entering the market.
