Grangewood Healthcare are looking to recruit a Full Time Senior Healthcare Assistant to be based at Saxon Court. Saxon Court is a manor house which has been extended and adapted to provide a high standard of care and support to adults with learning disabilities.
Shifts run from 8am-2pm, 2pm-9pm and 8am-9pm. You will be required to work Saturday or Sunday as part of your weekly rota and your hourly rate is decided by the Area Manager depending on experience. At least 1 years experience as a Senior HCA in care is desirable but not essential.
Purpose of Position
To assist in securing and sustaining the home for the residents, promote a caring environment through the highest standards of professional practice conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the residents. To take responsibility, and assist the Registered Manager and Area Manager, to secure and sustain the Home for the residents, promote a caring environment through the highest standards of professional practice conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the residents. To assist the Registered Manager and Area Manager to ensure that each resident receives care appropriate to his or her individual need. To assist the Registered Manager and Area Manager to ensure that all rules and procedures as laid down by the Regulators (as inspected), and Directors, are followed and complied with and any shortcomings are dealt with as soon as possible. To assist the Registered Manager and Area Manager to ensure that the Home is run as efficiently as possible without putting at risk the care of residents. To carry out the Directors’ policy and instruction and implement the requirements of the Care Act 2014. To assist the Registered Manager and Area Manager in managing the home in a manner that will not bring the residents or Home into disrepute either with resident’s families or regulatory bodies. To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of residents in a way that respects the dignity and privacy of the individual and promotes independence. To assist the Registered Manager and Area Manager to ensure that all required records and paperwork regarding resident Care, medication, staffing etc are maintained and that these records retain a high degree of accuracy. To deputise for the Registered Manager and Area Manager in their absence and take charge of the Home’s management in their absence. To act as Shift Leader and be the senior member of staff on duty. To correctly account for deposits or withdrawals from the petty cash records and resident funds. To correctly administer medication in line with the Home’s policies and procedures. To participate in the on-call system of support at the Home.
To report to the Home Manager/Assistants.

£8.50-9 per hour.
