Alloy wheel repair instructions
Here is a summary of how to carry out alloy wheel repair. With step by step instructions you’ll find it easy to repair kerb scrapes, deep scratches and scuffs. Full instructions will be included with your Alloy Wheel Repair Kit.
Step 1: Sand the damaged area with wet & dry paper, and clean with the first wipe. Wearing gloves, apply gel into the scratches or scrapes so it sits just above the surface.
Step 2: Activate the gel immediately using the activator and pump spray. After five minutes, use the wet & dry paper to sand the gel to the contour of the wheel. Clean the area with the second wipe, ensuring the whole wheel is clean and dry.
Step 3: Mask the wheel, valve and surrounding bodywork.
Step 4: Apply a light coat of paint and a second slightly heavier coat, holding the can 12-20cm from the wheel, pointing down away from the bodywork, and using constant movements to avoid running.
