"Be the change you want to be in your life. Every action or inaction starts with the mind. Therefore learn to control your mind and reprogram yourself. You will then be on your way to achieving your goals."
How does Hypnosis work?
This type of therapy only works through relaxation. It is dependent upon the commitment and determination of both the therapist and the subject. All that needed is a strong recognition and a desire for change. Through deep relaxation we will discover the underlying issues to solve your problems.
Hypnotherapy is effortless because it involves reprogramming the subconscious mind which in effect will change the behavioural patterns and thoughts that has been ingrained over the years. As a result, you will begin to naturally improve the focus of the conscious mind and the ability to cope with your emotions.
Slowly the patterns in your life will begin to shift and new ones will occur helping you to reach a happier and more fulfilled life.
When I mention that I'm a Hypnotherapist it’s usually met with some responses ranging from “are you hypnotising me right now” to “can you hypnotise people to walk like a chicken”
From birth we are conditioned by society to live the life it has created for us. The learning process begins with parental teachings which can make it very difficult for the child to become an individual being and this learned behaviour can seriously affect our well being.
By repeating this learned information inherited from our parents and those around us we form patterns of behaviour. We also find that history has a habit of repeating itself and we find ourselves trapped in the same old situation to which we respond in a prescriptive way.
It is pattern recognition that matches information from a stimulus with information retrieved from memory in psychology and cognitive neuroscience and it is hypnosis which can help to breakdown the negative patterns and replace them with more positive and beneficial ones.
Hypnosis has been around for thousands of years and was accepted by the British Medical Association in 1958, is a natural method of psychological therapy that will allow you to explore yourself in depth by altering your state of consciousness resulting in behavioural changes.
This technique allows you to communicate with your subconscious mind which is that part of you that continuously influences your thoughts and behaviour. By removing subconscious blocks you can create more clarity of thought to enable you to overcome the bad habits or experiences that prevent you from achieving your goals.
Hypnosis is both powerful and effective but it dependant on the individual and their willingness to change and better themselves.
