This is a lovely Mk1 MGB Roadster with overdrive and alloy bonnet in completely sound structural and cosmetic condition recently fitted with an Ivor Seale unleaded engine supplied by the MGOC. It was first registered on 18th February 1966 and is an original UK RHD car.
In August 1990 a major structural restoration was undertaken by the M G Centre in Cardiff, mainly using original British Leyland supplied panels, with the entire refurbished bodyshell being repainted in the original light British Racing Green colour and Waxoyl treated where appropriate. The invoice for this work is in the car's history file. To the best of my knowledge this was the last time any structural or paint work was carried out. The interior is largely original though I would think that the leather seat covers are replacements, as is the Mota-Lita steering wheel.
Earlier this year I had an Ivor Searle reconditioned full engine fitted (which is still under warranty),along with a complete new clutch. Numerous other new parts were fitted as necessary, including the rev counter, fuel guage, tank sender and voltage stabiliser, clutch master cylinder etc., and the radiator was re-cored.
Wishing to run the new engine in I used the car for a while and it quickly became my "classic of choice" for the summer. In fact I travelled something over 1000 very enjoyable miles in it!
So, what we have here is not a show car or recent restoration but an honest, sound and attractive car which is charming to own and drive and has enough age and use to give it loads of character. It has an MOT until 16th July 2017, is HPI clear, and is, of course, road tax payment exempt.

The car is kept in my dry and well lit premises in Burwash, East Sussex, so weather is not a problem.
